There is a printing error in the assembly instructions for Stage 60 of the Batmobile 1989 collection relating to Screw F and the control arm.
Correct Position for Screw F
The side and direction of Screw F shown in the instructions are correct. However, the screw needs to be inserted from the opposite side of the control arm to the position shown in the instructions.
The thicker part of the control arm contains the thread that Screw F needs to fasten into.
To fit the part correctly:
- Turn the suspension around.
- Position the control arm so the thicker threaded section is on the correct side.
- Insert Screw F from the opposite side of the control arm to the position shown in the printed instructions.
- Screw F should fasten into the thicker threaded section of the control arm.
Important
Do not force Screw F if it does not tighten correctly.
If the screw does not engage with the thread, check that the suspension has been turned around and that Screw F is entering from the opposite side of the control arm.
The issue is with the printed Stage 60 instructions and does not mean that the supplied parts are incorrect or defective.
