Why is the R2-D2 app unavailable on some Android devices?
Google has introduced updated technical requirements for applications distributed through the Google Play Store.
The R2-D2 control app requires technical updates to comply with these requirements. As a result, the app may not currently be available to download on certain newer Android devices.
Can I still use the R2-D2 app if I already have it installed?
Yes. If you already have the R2-D2 app installed and it is working correctly, you can continue using it as normal.
The updated Google Play Store requirements do not affect the existing functionality of your R2-D2 model.
Can I download the R2-D2 app on a new Android device?
The app may not be available through the Google Play Store on some newer Android devices until the necessary technical updates have been completed.
Availability may vary depending on the device and its Android version.
Will there be further updates to the R2-D2 app?
Our technical team will be working on updating the app to meet Google's latest Android requirements.
This work will include compatibility testing on newer Android devices before an updated version can be released.
Until these changes are completed, further app updates, including bug fixes, cannot be released.
There is currently no confirmed release date for the updated app.
Do I need to take any action?
No action is required if you already have the R2-D2 app installed and it is functioning correctly.
You can continue using the app and controlling your R2-D2 model as normal.
Is my R2-D2 model affected?
